Oriental Land, the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, says it signed a licensing agreement with Disney Enterprises, intending to invest about 330 billion yen ($2 billion) to launch the first Disney Cruise in Japan.

Targeting a launch in fiscal year 2028, the new ship will be modeled after the Disney Wish, the largest of Disney’s cruise liners, where immersive shows feature characters from Mickey and Minnie to Frozen’s Elsa. With likely prices between 100,000 yen and 300,000 yen per person per voyage, Oriental Land says it expects the Tokyo-based cruise to eventually hit annual sales of about 100 billion yen.
