South African Borrowing Requirement Edges Up; Eskom Transfer Cut

National Treasury increases government’s gross borrowing requirement for the 2025-26 fiscal year to 582 billion rand, compared with 579 billion rand forecast in 2024, according to budget review published on Wednesday.
