Namibia to Raise Funds Locally to Repay $750 Million Eurobond

Namibia will raise funds locally to repay its $750 million eurobond that’s maturing on Oct. 29, Finance Minister Ericah Shafudah said in her budget speech.

The government has accumulated $463 million in a sinking fund and plans to add another 3 billion Namibian dollar ($164 million) to the reserve in the year ending March 31, 2026. Authorities will raise the balance of $125 million at home, she said.
