Japan’s Kato Says No Truth to Reports About Mulling Extra Budget

Japan’s government isn’t considering compiling an extra budget to help mitigate the potential impacts from US tariffs, Minister of Finance Katsunobu Kato said Tuesday.

“There is no truth to the idea that the government is mulling an extra budget,” Kato told reporters in a post-cabinet press conference.
