Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams said he doesn’t see a need to adjust interest rates “any time soon,” adding the Fed must ensure tariffs don’t lead to persistently high inflation.

Williams said the economy is in a “very good place,” and the Fed can wait for more information given so much uncertainty about government policies and their ultimate impact.
