Forget Valentine’s Day. For many restaurateurs, Mother’s Day is where the real love—and money—is. It is, in fact, the busiest day of the year for many dining rooms, says industry journal Nation’s Restaurant News.
How busy is it? Restaurant management software company Toast Inc. reported that in 2024, transaction volume on Mother’s Day was up 52% compared with an average Sunday, and the average check size was 34% higher. Wine orders were up 50%.
