Banco do Brasil Rout Sheds $3.7 Billion as Guidance Pulled
Banco do Brasil SA shed 21 billion reais ($3.7 billion) in market value Friday in its worst session in five years after the Brazilian lender put parts of its 2025 forecast under review and reported rising delinquency rates on agricultural loans that took a bite out of first-quarter profit.
The stock closed 13% lower, recording its worst slump since April 2020. The selloff took away its status the second-largest publicly-traded bank in Brazil, giving it to Banco Bradesco SA.
