Chevron to Name Van Dyke Commodities Lead in Trading Revamp

Chevron Corp. is promoting some of its traders and offered voluntary severance to others as part of a restructuring of its trading division aimed at cutting costs and boosting performance.

Charles Van Dyke, previously a Houston-based senior manager for middle distillates in the Americas, will become the global commodities lead, according to people familiar with the matter. London-based trader Mark Spiller will become global head of motor gasoline, said the people, who asked not to be named because the information is confidential. Other senior appointments will be made in the coming weeks.
