Congo’s Biggest Lender Sees Profit Rise 11% as Copper Booms
Rawbank SA said full-year profit rose 11%, with Democratic Republic of Congo’s flourishing copper industry boosting the performance of its top lender.
Congo is the world’s second-biggest copper producer and is benefiting from a price rally following a sharp plunge in global stockpiles. The central African nation is also a key source of cobalt, tantalum, tin and gold.
