Six University Students Drown at Zhongjin Gold Mine in China

Six students from a Chinese university died during a visit to a mine owned by Zhongjin Gold Corp. in Inner Mongolia, northern China.

The students from Northeastern University in Shenyang, Liaoning province, fell into a flotation tank at the facility after protective grates collapsed, the company said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Thursday. A teacher was also injured in the incident.
