Embraer SA pledged to invest $1 billion in the US as the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer seeks to blunt any fallout from possible tariffs.

The planemaker is considering a $500 million investment in a new US assembly line that would create 2,500 jobs if the US government selects its KC-390 military aircraft, which Embraer would build locally. The company reiterated plans to invest another $500 million in plants in Texas and Florida over the next five years.
