Sugar Set for Longest Run of Gains in Five Months on Brazil Crop

Raw sugar futures rose in New York for a third day — the longest winning streak since Feb. 21 — on renewed concerns over weaker cane yields in top grower Brazil that will likely reduce supplies.

The most-active contract gained as much as 3.4%, the biggest intraday jump in more than a month. Fears of a smaller crop in Brazil have pushed prices up, including past key technical thresholds that spurred further buying.
