In an unprecedented ruling, Donald Trump has been barred from Colorado’s state primary ballot by the State’s Supreme Court. The Court says Trump is ineligible to serve as US president because of his actions inciting the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. The Trump campaign says it plans to appeal the decision at the Supreme Court. The ruling came as Trump stood by his recent condemnation of immigrants despite bipartisan criticism, saying on Tuesday night that undocumented migrants were “ruining the fabric” of the US. Trump holds a commanding lead in the Republican primary, setting the stage for a 2020 rematch against President Joe Biden, who casts Trump as an existential threat to the Democratic system.
